Literature Text

There are many times in life
When you come to a cross roads
And must make a choice
Between taking the road many travel
And the road less travelled by all...

There is an ambience in the air
A feeling of unknown
As I look down the road less travelled
It scares me
Because I like to know:

I like to know what's ahead of me
I like to know what's behind me
I like to know that sense of feeling
Of security
Feeling safe...

We always want what we can't have
To cannon ball into the water
Taking a risk
Being confident
Taking on the unknown...

I'm looking into my future
Wanting what I won't do
To cannon ball into the water
Not looking back
And being like you...

But I like to know too much
That sense of security
Feeling safe
And knowing
What's ahead of me...

We always want what we can't have
Or more so what we are afraid to do
I'm looking back at the choices
I've made
And wishing...

I was you.

I had to read this one again. I know this concept as others do too. I can't help but wax philosophical thinking about why we always want what we can't have. Desire versus constraint...hmmm, I think we often set this up ourselves to force ourselves to grow even when we can't remember that is what we came here to do. When we get to a place in life where we know what we want is attainable, that's when we've really grown!!!! Big hugs to you...nice work!!!!
